Marantz are a well-known name within the world of hifi, having been designing and engineering some of the most highly regarded audio components on the market for over 60 years, claiming the hearts of critics and audio-lovers alike. Marantz have won countless awards from a wide range of hifi-press magazines over the years across the entirety of their product range, starting from the entry level all the way up to their premium series.  It's with the Premium Series that Marantz begin to show off exactly how good they are. The design philosophy behind the Premium Series is to bring the listener as close to the magic of the original performance as possible, leaving every ounce of musical emotion as intact and uncompromised as possible. The Premium Series utilises only the finest materials and the most innovative design methods to achieve this.   Marantz have revisited their Legendary 10 series, originally launched over a decade ago. The new 10 series models have been designed and engineered by Ken Ishiwata, the highly established and well renowned brand ambassador and audio guru at Marantz. The 10 series comprises of a reference level amplifier, CD player and DAC.   The PM10 amplifier makes use of the SC7's pre-amplification topology and includes a full balanced analogue pre-amplifier stage. This has the capability of offering the same level of power that can be found with the MA9 power amplifier; a weighty and dynamic 200W per channel into 8 ohms. The PM10 also features separated amplifier modules and a dual mono configured power supply, while the pre-amp and processor utilise a separate power supplu.   A wide host of connectivity options are included with the PM10, including both Moving Magnet and Moving Coil phono inputs for the direct connection of essentially any high end turntable.
